Copy of Study Shows Self-compassion Leads to Higher Levels of Happiness
Research into the benefits of self-compassion has been substantial in recent years. Self-compassion is often referred to as self-kindness, recognition of our humanity, and mindfulness. The research indicates that people who practise self-compassion have been found to have higher levels of happiness, life satisfaction, motivation, better relationships, better physical health and lower levels of depression and anxiety. The good news is that we can learn to embrace ourselves and our lives, despite inner and outer imperfections, and provide ourselves with the strength needed to thrive.
