Their approach was strategic and was evaluated over time. It was manager-led and generated engagement across the organisation. Research suggests that happy, healthy and engaged employees are found to be more productive, are likely to stay in their job longer and, are likely to take less leave. This business explored in detail the financial benefits to the company. They estimated that they reduced their reactive costs by 8 times the amount they spent on pro-active staff and organisational wellbeing programs.
